E super, uspio sam sa virtual box-om, cak mi se cini da je bolji od vmware-a koji sam koristio na windowsu. Ali imam jedan drugi problemcic. Instalirao sam Windows Xp u v. box i mis se ne krece bas kako treba. Cini mi se kao da malo steka. I cesto mi se desi da promasim ikonu koju sam htjeo da otvorim. Sta bi se tu moglo uraditi, da bi kretanje misa bilo malo realnije.

btw, kad neko bude čitao temu malo će skrenuti s topica :), ali nejse, uglavnom da promuhabetim i koju na originalnu temu, ovi <v2 vmware serveri (čak ne znam da li dvica radi kako treba - nisam testirao) nisu se mogli kompajlirati na novijim kernelima (tj. nove verzije linux distro-a), treba neki patch odraditi, pa ako se baš ne razumijete u tematiku, onda je bolje da se držite virtualboxa ili uzmete neki LTS (Long Term Support) distro

VirtualBox i to onaj sa njihove stranice, malo prosvrljas po netu nadjes kako napraviti usb da funkcionira i mislim da si rijesio kompletan problem.

vmware 2.0 server je testiran na 2.6.27 kernelom bez problema, na slckvr 12.3 i na debian 4.0r6 (naknadno instaliran 2.6.27) i meni se odlicno ponasa, samo mi je onaj interface malo hafifan (citaj spor) pa vise tezim editovanju cfg file-ova i konzolnim alatima koji dolaze uz vmware.

Kada sam testirao 1.0.x vmware, na prethodno spomenutom debian-u, morao sam vratiti 2.6.18 (cini mi se da je default) kako bi uopste prosla instalacija.

probao sam "net use x:\vboxsvr\Share_folder (tako sam ga nazvao) ali prijavi gresku:

Sjecam se da sam kod sebe instalirao na ubuntu 8.10 i da je radilo
pogledaj taj problem na linku … on je radio update sa 8.04 na 8.10 …

inače najnoviji v1 vmware server, ono prvo je na opensuse 11.1 (najnoviji), a ovo drugo je ubuntu 8.10 (najnoviji), sve fresh instalacije (nije dist-upgrade) i neće:

Kad ubacim stick u u windowsu u vbox-u ga ne prijavljuje[/quote]
za shared foldere… odabereš host interface i onda će se te tvoje dvije mašine (prava i virtualne vidjeti po subnetu)
kasnije samo kucaš u nautilusu ili konqueroru
smb://192.168.0.3 (tj IP adresu od mašine kojoj želiš pristupiti)

a iz windowsa -> windows explorer pa u url-u kucaš \192.168.0.4

jah, mora ti biti verzija 2.10 (evo kod mene na suse 11.1 radi ok, prije se morao praviti tapX device)
