Pozdrav svima…

zanima me kako mogu na jednostavan nacin mjenjat rezoluciju na slacku. sta tocno trebam napravit u /etc/X11/xorg.conf, tia bi da mi neko pojasni bez da sjeben rezoluciju, da mi prilikon sljedeceg dizanja bude radilo

Otvori terminal (konzolu) i kucaj xrandr za spisak dostupnih rezolucija. Nakon toga kucaš npr:
xrandr --output VGA --mode 1440x900
VGA je za eksterni ekran, LVDS je za ugrađene ekrane na laptopima, TV je za tv-out. Za spisak svih opcija kucaj man xrandr
Ako nemaš ponuđenu rezoluciju koju očekuješ da imaš, moguće je da ti nije ispravno prepoznat monitor. Ako ti je Slackware 12.2 možeš probati pobrisati /etc/X11/xorg.conf kako bi se nekakvi defaulti povukli.

dakle moguce je podesit rezoluciju istu kakvu imam i na windowsu, a to je 1280 by 800 pixels…

da 12.2 je.

i proba san dakle xrandr

xrandr --output LVDS --mode 1280x800, ali nema nikakve promjene… LVDS je za laptope.

Moguće je da nije prepoznata kako treba grafička, tako da samo lista VESA rezolucije.

Može li output komande ‘lspci’, te par detalja za grafičku karticu/monitor?

Ima na gnome program grandr, gui frontend za xrandr. Vjerovatno ima i za KDE nesto slicno. Ovo ti je preporuka ako ti je mrsko zafrkavat se sa konzolom Obzirom da koristis slack vjerovatno nije Ali, nek ima i za druge…

pa stopiraj X, tj uradi logout i iz terminala bez startanog X servera odradiš xorgsetup…

Mislim da je ovdje bilo dovoljno uraditi mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup jer je novi Xorg ima sposobnost da radi bez konfiguracije, a i grafička i ekran su dobro podržani.
