[SOLVED] Error for wireless request "Set Nickname" (8B1C)

Pozdrav,

Slackware 13.1 (2.6.35.4), intel/pro wireless 3945ABG kartica, wext driver, wifi konfigurisan koristeci samo slackware scripte i sve to fino radi. Medjutim, dobijam jedan error a osim toga sto me nervira usporava mi masinu prilikom boota, radi se o sljedecem:

root@knight:/var/log# /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 wlan0_restart
Error for wireless request “Set Nickname” (8B1C) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
Polling for DHCP server on interface wlan0:
dhcpcd: version 5.2.2 starting
dhcpcd: wlan0: broadcasting for a lease
dhcpcd: wlan0: offered 192.168.4.32 from 192.168.4.1
dhcpcd: wlan0: acknowledged 192.168.4.32 from 192.168.4.1
dhcpcd: wlan0: checking for 192.168.4.32
dhcpcd: wlan0: leased 192.168.4.32 for 86400 seconds
dhcpcd: forking to background

Dakle, net funkcionise ali taj error bih volio rijesiti. E sad, gledao sam na netu i nalazio odgovore tipa “ignore it” i slicno ali to nije prihvatljivo  pa ako me neko moze prosvjetliti sto se tice pomenutog errora, bio bih zahvalan.

See ya!

Slackware skripte su različite od ostatka Linuxa pa ti ne mogu pomoći konkretnije, ali zašto jednostavno ne grepuješ sve skripte, nađeš gdje se setuje nickname i iskomentarišeš to? U pitanju je parametar nick[name] komande iwconfig (man iwconfig).

Btw otvorih ovu man stranicu i vidi šta piše:

[quote]nick[name]
Set the nickname, or the station name. Some 802.11 products do
define it, but this is not used as far as the protocols (MAC,
IP, TCP) are concerned and completely useless as far as configu‐
ration goes. Only some wireless diagnostic tools may use it.[/quote]

Pregledao sam conf skripte (rc.inet1 i wpa_supplicant.conf) ali zaboravih rc.wireless
Uglavnom, ‘nickname’ uklonjen, sve radi ko pista.

Hvala!
