Huuuh sto ja puno tema pravim zadnjih dana, sve u helac ode :D. Ja mislim da naslov sve kaze, problem je na laptopu Toshiba P100-415, iwconfig ne izbacuje eth0, nemogu se konektovat na net, gledo sam po google, kernel pri bootu ne izbaci eth0 nigdje u /etc/blabla/interfaces direktoriju ima samo lo… lspci nema kartice, milione dmesg komanda ni jedna ne vidi karticu…

koja verzija? zašto uopšte prčkaš po interfaces pored gui network managera (osim ako znaš šta radiš)
a šta kaže:
ifconfig -a #(za više informacija o ifconfig opcijama kucaj man ifconfig (iz man-a izlaziš pritiskom na Q tipku na tastaturi)

znači nekad ga je konto, vidi i ovo s windowsom da je on nekako softwareski ne disableuje…
iwconfig trazi samo wifi interfejse koliko ja znam, nego probaj sudo dhcpcd. Ako ni to ne radi, javi da li hoce s live cd-a?

DHCP ne moze nista kada nema interface, cak sta vise OS ne prepoznaje ni hardware, probaj dr distru.
i ja se patim s mreznom i probao sam vec arch, debian i ubuntu netinstall, a debian sam cak odradio s drugog laptopa instalaciju, sve mrezne toolse aplicirao ali kapak. Ndiswrapper nece da instalira XP driver kaze invalid. Neka je stara pcmcia bezicna kartica t sinus 111 16 bitna bazirana na prism2. Nema je na ubuntu compatibility listi, a iwconfig je nadje kad ona i dalje ne svijetli. Mreze ne nalazi i dalje ne znam sta da joj radim. Moze raditi pod windowsima 2000/xp, ali radije bih fluxbox jer je sporo za interneta. Ima tako tih situacija koje izlude covjeka.
Vidim da se radi o nekom Intel chipsetu na tvom laptopu. Cudi me da ethernet ne radi out-of-box. Dakle, probaj drugi distro ili potrazi na forumima za tvoju distro.
Nebi sad distro mjenjo ovaj sam tweako do besvjesti, trebat ce mi 7 dana da ga opet tweakam
